Gates in this part of Texas take a beating. Heat, oak pollen, the odd ice storm, and soil that shifts more than people expect all do their work on hinges, wheels, and motors. The crew at Warden Gate Repair Austin was put together around that reality. We’re a small, sharply focused team of gate and opener specialists, not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Every person who shows up at your driveway in Austin has passed the Threshold Standard vetting: background-checked, identity-verified, and factory-trained on the equipment we service. Cole Rafferty, Owner, has been rebuilding gates since 2008 and still carries his own tool bag on service calls.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cole Rafferty, Owner & Lead Technician
Cole founded Warden Gate Repair Austin in 2008 after years of watching general repair outfits guess at gate problems they had no business touching. His specialty is electric gate repair, which means he’s the guy diagnosing a FAAC control board that works in the morning and locks up by 3 p.m. in August heat. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule, and he keeps a running mental catalog of which Austin subdivisions have which brands and which ones fail from soil shift around the gate posts. When he’s not tracking down a faulty photo eye, he’s restoring an old truck in his garage. Slowly, he’d tell you. Two years in, the truck still doesn’t run.
Danny M., Senior Installer
Danny has been installing and rebuilding gate operators for 14 years, the last six of them with Warden. If a steel driveway gate scrapes the ground every time it opens, Danny is the one who spots the sag in the hinge weld before it snaps. He’s our go-to for slide gate conversions on older ranches and new builds alike, and he’s the only person on the crew who genuinely enjoys rewiring a gate motor in the rain. Which happens more than you’d think in the spring. Danny keeps a logbook of every gate he’s touched since 2018. He says it’s for warranty reference. It’s probably also because he likes writing things down.
Rosa F., Service Coordinator
Rosa is the voice on the other end of the line when you call (361) 268-6253 at 2 in the morning because your gate won’t open and your car is on the wrong side of it. She’s been dispatching repair teams in Austin for nine years and knows the difference between a gate operator problem and a gate position sensor problem well enough to tell you over the phone what you’re likely looking at. Rosa is the one who sends your technician’s name and photo before they arrive, and she confirms the written price with you before any work starts. When she’s not managing the schedule, she’s raising two boys who are absolutely certain they’ll never need to learn how a gate works. They will.
Luis T., Apprentice Technician
Luis joined the crew in 2023 after two years in commercial access control installation, and he’s currently completing his factory certification on Viking and BFT units. He runs point on gate motor diagnostics, testing capacitor readings and limit switch continuity before the more experienced techs make the final call. Luis has a talent for explaining gate mechanics to customers who’ve never touched a screwdriver, which makes him popular on calls where the homeowner wants to watch and understand. He’s also the fastest person on the team at untangling chain drive slack, a skill he claims comes from years of untangling Christmas lights as a kid.
One Standard, Every Job
The crew changes from job to job, but the way we work does not. Every Warden Gate Repair Austin technician arrives with a photo ID badge shown at the door, and their name and photo go to you before they show up. That’s the Threshold Standard, and it’s enforced on every visit with no exceptions. Before any work starts, you get a written price. Before the tech leaves, you get a written guarantee. And if the repair fails within 365 days, the return visit is free under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. The name Warden isn’t a coincidence. A warden is trusted to watch over a place and keep it secure. That is the whole idea behind a gate, and it’s the whole idea behind how this team works in Austin.
If your gate isn’t working, call (361) 268-6253 and Rosa will get you on the schedule. You’ll know exactly who’s coming before we arrive, and exactly what it costs before we touch a thing.
